Adam Duvall To Begin Rehab Assignment
Red Sox outfieler Adam Duvall is set to begin a rehab assignment Tuesday, Sports Illustrated reports. Duvall has been out since mid April after suffering a wrist sprain in a game against the Tigers. Eventually, Duvall was moved to the 60-day IL, where he’s been since.
Before his IL stint, Duvall was one of the hottest hitters in baseball, getting into 8 games with a .455 batting average, 4 homers, a .514 OBP, and a staggering 303 OPS+.
He’s eligible to play as soon as June 9th, and if all goes as planned, he’s on track to be back on the field as soon as possible.
With Duvall back in the lineup, the Red Sox will have a solid right handed power bat to help balance out the excessive amount of lefties in their lineup.
